There are several theories on how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated by a formula that calculates the worth of the stats of an item really are. Item Luck

The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the likelihood of finding items as well as the properties that appear on loot drops and the intensity of those properties. It does not, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is particularly useful for early game runs, since players tend to prioritize defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall upgrade chances, which increase with each new level of item. They can also be enhanced by using anti-materials, such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can be created or spawned by using the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck, or to increase the existing Luck of the item up to 140.

Additionally some items, such as the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be purchased from the shop or made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.

When you upgrade an item the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading the item upgrading and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased by so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The Luck of an item can influence the success of an upgrade. Each item has an average success rate of 25 percent, and each item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

It is important to note that Upgrade Items (Www.Racingfans.Com.Au) are rendered above the inventory items therefore enchantment glints and other effects may be obscured by the overlays.
