Item upgrading allows players to improve their weapons and gear by adding new affixes, boosting its stats base or adding additional perks. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.

Upgrade components

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from the previous versions in a few key ways.
