10 Websites To Help You Become An Expert In Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage for each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the item to the upgrade (for example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
The player can have up to five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure how much it will be improved after the reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a substantial chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of the upgrade item Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.
It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade items components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
The use of Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim your upgrade items and also receive the bonuses.
When a player upgrades an item upgrader mod to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a disadvantage since the item upgrader kit may be more expensive even if you do not require it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.
Requirements
The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition which means that the player has to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
