World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a high risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

In the final game, you will often find that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs to be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to place Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades the equipment they have it is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). The item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very useful in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader (lovebookmark.date) NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its initial state which means that the player has to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained, such as crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade item occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
