15 Gifts For The Item Upgrading Lover In Your Life
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3% of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would require to achieve the same level using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure how much it will be improved following an update.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.
You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is best to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item upgrader kit level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same kind. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage in that it could cause the item upgrader mod to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, with a level 1 base and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade item of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to return to its original condition which means that the player has to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.
Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
