Item Upgrading: It s Not As Difficult As You Think

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

upgrade item components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times.
